Nineties Chic Style
I am so excited to share this timeless and chic elopement in New York City with you all. Ashen and Andrew were married in October amongst the rich tones of the city in Fall.
I was in love with their vision concept from the very start. Ashen and Andrew knew they wanted an elopement with photos to document it that they could look back on and feel their style through for years to come. Ashen already had her dress picked out from BHLDN. We were both so excited to capitalize on its nineties inspired minimalism with the statement bow. on the back. From that inspiration, we began talking about location ideas. We knew that we wanted a few spots throughout Manhattan to capture the vibes. With the simplicity of this being a smaller affair, we had the perfect opportunity to take advantage of what NYC has to offer to reflect their style.
Moving through Manhattan for all the Vibes
We started around City Hall after their ceremony to capitalize on the grand and art deco style architecture. We also wanted to make sure we caught those “just minutes after saying ‘I do'” moments. Later, we moved through the subway to Soho. Here they enjoyed wedding cupcakes, a champagne pop and that luxe fashion aesthetic of this neighborhood. Rounding out their photos, we ended at Bethesda Terrace in Central Park for some editorial moments. During sunset we did a final confetti throw (biodegradable!) to end their wedding adventure. I love the way their photos came out and I am so happy for these two. They are such a fun couple and made my job easy!
Elopements Equal Your Day, Your Way
Elopements are special because there is no real guideline other than a few facts like time and location. The beauty in creating your own elopement is that you can match it to your own interests and style, as well as connect with a photographer who will listen to what YOU want photographed on YOUR special day! You can go for this timeless style elopement in New York City too or you can go edgy, funky, modern, you name it! If this is something that you’re interested in doing let’s connect!
