The Couple
Wow. What all to say about this bohemian fall wedding with Nicolette and Brian. Besides just being the absolute most fun, it was so cool to meet and follow along with their wedding journey. Brian and Kevin (my boyfriend and for this particular wedding my trusty second shooter) used to work together back in the day so when Nicolette said yes to forever with B, they reached out to us about photographing their special day. We met up for coffee and talked for hours about their boho dream of a wedding and their beautiful love story. Fast forward to spring when their wedding was *supposed* to happen, the big C virus hit and they had to postpone to a fall wedding. But this didn’t deter them and their patience and creativity took their boho spring plans and translated them perfectly into the fall season.
The Dreamiest Boho Details
Everything about this wedding was so thought out! I loved every detail (especially being a fan of the boho look myself). Amongst the warm toned neutrals throughout the wedding, the bridesmaid dresses, the seating chart, the cute menues, etc, the florals were one of my favorite pieces! So minimal for the bridesmaids, but such a big impact alongside Nicolette’s bouquet. In planning out the little intricate details, one can’t forget dad! N, had a custom note embroidered onto the back of her dad’s tie. Oh! And did I mention that Bryan selected a custom fabric for his suit?!?!
First Look… but with Dad
Oh my absolute God. I thought I was going to lose it when Nicolette did a first look with her dad. It was the sweetest moment and I don’t think there was a dry eye around us.
On top of the beauty of their relationship, this was the first stop at our venue- The Creek Club on I’on in Mount Pleasant and wow what a beautiful location for this bohemian wedding!
Sneaking Away for a few Sweet Moments Alone
One of my favorite parts of this wedding was the fact that after the ceremony Bryan and Nicolette had the idea to sneak away from the main part of the venue for their couple portraits and…. a few moments to breathe alone and take it all in. The neighborhood that makes up I’on has this cutesy little river running through it with canals and bridges and the most beautiful greenery surrounding it- essentially a charleston version of venice. Lol
But these quick moments were so beautiful and prompted some of the most genuine emotions between B + N because they could breathe, giggle, drink, smooch, whatever they wanted to celebrate that just married feeling. I love to take a step back during these moments and just capture the moment. We did of course have some fun though with those gorgeous canals as a backdrop and a few sweet poses.

I could truly go on talking about this wedding for a mile long blog post; there were so many intimate moments, fun laughter, and precious details that made this such a special event. Instead of writing about each and everyone, I’ll do what I do best and let the photos speak for themselves.
