The Perfect Bohemian Wedding Venue
Going into this bohemian wedding, I knew that Erik and Erica would have an incredibly beautiful and non-traditional wedding. Both of them work in the theatre and music industry and they told me from the start that they wanted to bring that energy into the wedding. So it only makes sense that they chose The Spillian, which has been the location for multiple movies as well. Between the moody dark wood of the exterior, the organic and eclectic feeling interior, and the woodsy grounds surrounding it, this venue did not disappoint. I especially loved the floral murals on the wood paneling in the staircase. Due to a sudden burst of rainfall, we ended up doing their first look with some flash photos in the stairwell and man, it was a VIBE.
Jaw Dropping Details
Okay let’s talk about this INSANELY amazing dress! Erika chose a Rue de Sein dress, which is the epitome of bohemian wedding attire, and she paired it with the most beautiful accessories. Would you believe the crown she wore she made herself?? It’s too perfect, I know. Oh, and that perfect denim jacket?? Her sister made it!
A Day full of Free-Spirited Fun
There are so many things I could say about the energy and emotions throughout this Erik and Erica’s wedding day. A few of my favorite moments were the wedding party inviting me to take a shot of some homemade whiskey with them, Erik saging Erica before the ceremony, and the many bursts of laughter and joyful tears throughout the ceremony. Oh. And I can’t forget the comedy set their friend performed during cocktail hour that had everyone howling! And the reception was just as full of love and well wishes for the bride and groom as dinner was filled with emotional toasts by so many of their loved ones before everyone let loose to dance around the bonfire. This was truly a perfect wedding day.
