A New FRIENDShip
Like many, Marisa and Nick found me through instagram when they began the search for the wedding photographer. While I’m based in New York City, they live in CT so we hopped on a video call for their consultation to plan their urban engagement session! Within minutes we were already off topic and talking about things like our love of rock music, tattoos, and art. But anywaysssss. They booked me for their wedding and the more we talked the more we laughed and all bonded. THEN. After posting about my own sweet date at the Friends Experience NYC (linking because you should go if you can), M + N decided to drive into the city and with the world opening back up we made plans to grab coffee and squeeze in an urban adventure shoot!
The Start of our Urban Engagement Session
We started this fun session with hugs, laughter and dancing in the streets as we wandered through the flat iron district. These two have the strongest chemistry and their connection is a blessing to observe. They were also so down to wander the streets and chase the golden setting sun. We also couldn’t help but notice ALL the corgis walking around. Marisa and I may or may not have squealed and jumped around in joy and then taken a short break to share tik-tok videos of corgis. I mean….. can you blame us????
The Night Went By in a Flash
With all the adventurous experience in these two’s souls, I decided to be a bit daring and ask if they were down for some night shots. I mean I had just bought a new external flash and I was dying to use it ya know…. ? But also golden hour, blue hour, and city night backdrops are the perfect trifecta. And it truly was so perfect and fun! I love when couples trust my crazy ideas and the vision in my head. See for yourself!
